Almost there!

I've been incredibly busy with this move coming up. And work . . . oh work. I won't even go there. We got a lot of painting done this weekend, though. We were a little disappointed in the colors. I should have been more involved! Bradford picked them out about six months ago for his last apartment, but he never got around to painting it. Since we didn't want to waste the paint, we decided to use them for the house. But after we painted the living and dining rooms, we were pretty let down. But! Maybe after we get some furniture in there, we'll feel better!

We used Bay Fog for the living and dining rooms and Sensual Silver for the kitchen and underneath the chair rail in the dining room. The hallway is already a greeney sage color, so we painted the bathroom in California Avocado. It all sounds pretty disgusting, but it doesn't look that bad. The bedrooms were already painted by the landlord. I think she used an eggshell color. Anyway! I'm ready for the move to be over! I think I'm going to ask my boss for Friday off. With dancing every night and dinner with my estranged sister on Wednesday, there's no way I can be ready to move on Saturday.

Furnishings!

We need so many new things for the house. The most important being a dining room table. The last dining room table I had was a really cheap patio furniture set I bought from Big Lots 10 years ago. No lie. So I want my first official dining table to be great. I like these styles . . . I think Bradford's leaning toward a round table, but I just don't know. Plus, cost is always a concern. I like the styles of these.

Shopping!

I had a great time this weekend with my GSS crew. We met Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar Saturday morning at ATL's Antique Market to shop and saw so many neat things. It was part of Flea Market Shopping Trips the both of them are doing. I'm so glad Fe invited me. I bought a scalloped metal hanging plate with a bird's nest and blue robbin egg complete with four gold magnetic birds! It's so stinkin' cute! Fe and Genes bought one too, and to me, there was something special about the three of us buying those together. I didn't tell them that, but I sure was feeling it!

After the flea market, we went to the mall, and Fe found initialed plates at Anthropologie. I bought an "A" one for $3.95!

We had every intention of going out to dinner but decided to order pizza from Johnny's Pizza (it was awesome, by the way). Between my throbbing headache and aching toes, I don't think I could have made it out!

On Sunday, we made our way to Ikea! I bought a red chair and two mirrors for $62! There were so many things I wanted to get, but I restrained myself. I need a dining room table and desk for my new house (my boyfriend and I are renting, not buying). I just couldn't make up my mind, and I really want my bf to be there with me to pick everything out, so maybe in a few weeks, we'll make our way to ATL to shop. (He's never been to Ikea, so it'll be fun).
